From Flood Church in San Diego, CA.
Description: Since Emperor Constantine made Christianity an official religion of the Roman Empire, the Church has enjoyed a seat at the table of power for much of Western history. As a consequence, the Church has often been seen as representing the power structure of a bygone era, particularly in recent times, when many of the assumptions and values of our culture have been re-examined and questioned. In such an environment, the Church has been too often defined by its cultural and political stances rather than what we were first called to become.
