Hope is defined in the English dictionary as “a feeling of expectation and a desire for a particular thing to happen”. We all have hopes. We hope that we will pass our exams, we hope that we will get into our chosen university, we hope we will get that great job, we hope we will get that promotion, we hope that we will get married, and we hope to have kids one day.
When we think of hope, it’s very often “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I hope it happens.” Christian Hope is not a finger crossing wish – it is described in Heb 6:11 as a “full assurance of hope.”
We desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end.. That your hopes are replaced with the hope that is found in Jesus.
