We trust that chairs will hold us up when we sit down, that it is safe to go when our light turns green, and that we will wake up to a charged phone ready to scroll through our Instagram feed after plugging it in overnight. These things are easy to trust – because they don’t often fail us.
People on the other hand, are not so easy to trust. Whether it be from friends, family, the church, leaders, politicians – we have all experienced great letdown.

Yet trust is essential for relationships. And, each of us know that we were made for relationships.
So what does this mean for us? Is it possible to regain trust where it has been lost? Is it possible to trust in something that we can’t see as the authority in our lives?
